My Story
Ever since I was a child, I remember that my strongest emotion was compassion, and this drove me down the path of becoming a health professional. At 18 I decided to become a pharmacist, thinking that this profession is going to give me all the tools I needed to help others, but soon enough I was to discover that it wasn’t so.
When I was 27 years old, my mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and even though I was a pharmacist running my own successful pharmacy business, I was left helpless and hurt in the path of this cruel diagnosis. That was the first time I felt angry and disappointed in my career choice but also determined to learn more so I can help others.
As a young adult, I had a very toxic life, as we all do, but when my mom fell ill, I started to become more aware of my lifestyle. I started incorporating more movement, spending more time in nature, and cleaning my diet. But I couldn’t find a framework; those were just bits and pieces.
My life had its twists and turns. In 2013 I moved to the U.S., where I wanted to start over and become the best version of myself. I started connecting the dots, gathering more and more information about what true health means, and for seven years I’ve studied different healing modalities. Still do!
I discovered a new me, a me who had zero tolerance for pain and suffering. Looking around, I realized we live in a world full of it, so I decided to adopt a plant-based diet and become more aware of the environment. I’ve always been a big advocate for stopping animal cruelty, so this was my way to do my part, for the animals, for the planet, for our future.
I also realized that the health industry has a hard time accepting that diet and lifestyle are the most important factors in our health, that quick fixes and band-aid solutions are everywhere, and that our medical system is failing us slowly. Don’t get me wrong: I have a great respect for science and medicine, but preventive healthcare is where our current allopathic system is lacking.
It takes a special kind of person to say ENOUGH and NO MORE to failing systems, to pain, suffering, and discomfort. If you are like me, I am grateful and humbled to be your health advocate because I believe that your health is your greatest asset!
I deeply believe in the holistic approach to health and that disease starts in the gut. All our body systems are interconnected, every one of us is unique, and the health practitioner should be your partner in this journey of discovering the root cause of your problems.
Through specific frameworks, individualized protocols, and a scientific approach to nutrition, I can help you listen to your body, understand your symptoms, and find relief so that you can live with your body in balance again.
