Chocolate tahini mousse

If you’re looking for a dessert that satisfies your chocolate cravings and supports your health goals, look no further than this chocolate tahini mousse. Silky, rich, and deeply satisfying, this wholesome treat is made with just a handful of nourishing ingredients—cocoa powder, tahini, coconut oil, and maple syrup—proving that indulgence and wellness can absolutely go hand in hand.

What makes this mousse special is the use of tahini, a creamy paste made from sesame seeds. Tahini is rich in healthy fats, plant-based protein, calcium, and essential minerals like magnesium and iron. It's a powerhouse ingredient that adds a slightly nutty flavor and a luxurious texture to this mousse, making it both decadent and nutrient-dense.

Cocoa powder brings not only bold chocolate flavor but also antioxidants, particularly flavonoids, which support heart health and may even boost mood. When paired with maple syrup—a natural sweetener that’s less processed than refined sugar—you get a subtle caramel-like sweetness without the blood sugar rollercoaster.

Coconut oil helps give the mousse its smooth consistency and also provides medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), which may support metabolism and brain function.

This mousse is:

  • Naturally dairy-free and gluten-free

  • Packed with healthy fats and antioxidants

  • A perfect make-ahead dessert for entertaining or self-care moments

Enjoy it on its own, topped with berries, or layered with coconut whipped cream for an elevated treat. Whether you’re following a clean eating lifestyle or simply want to add more intentional ingredients to your dessert game, this chocolate tahini mousse checks all the boxes.
