Testing for answers

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard someone saying: I want a test to tell me what’s wrong with me! I think this is part of the problem because people always expect fast answers and quick solutions. If only it could be this simple….

Labs and tests are tools used by different practitioners to understand better “what is going on in there”. But the truth is that tests are more of an art than a science. Tests are great, but they are also just a moment in time, and your body is in constant change. We are very complex, and our biology and biochemistry are influenced daily by many factors.

In my opinion, tests should be used to track changes. Test now, test again in 6 months, and in 1 year. And now we have enough info to determine a trend, is this making sense? When we have those numbers, we can start asking ourselves: Why is my body changing this way? What is causing this? And then, we can act as health detectives, start analyzing, start asking questions, and work towards finding the root cause.

As practitioners, we base our recommendations on what we’ve learned, what science says, and our personal beliefs. We all develop different strategies and modalities to practice. This is true when it comes to all our recommendations, even for tests.

You have to understand that no vitamin, mineral, or nutrient in our body works alone. The same goes for our organs and systems. We are all unique, everything is interconnected, and everything matters.

My belief is that we are not just what we eat. We are what our bodies can do with what we eat. So the question is: Do you know how food affects YOU? Is your body healthy enough to absorb, use, and excrete food?

As with everything else, there is a test you can do to figure out how food affects you. It’s called a food sensitivity test. The truth is that no test can tell you how you will feel without a particular food. The key here is listening to your body.

Food sensitivities are more complex than just a test. Finding out that you have a food sensitivity and removing that food doesn't fix the problem. It is more complicated than that.

I am here to give you the tools to become the hero of your own health journey.

In good health,

Ioana
